My mission is to help improve the quality of life of patients suffering from hip and knee arthritis. I'm currently accepting new patients, and I plan to bring all of the latest advancements in total joint replacements from Atlanta to Macon. By doing so, we ensure that patients will receive the highest quality of care right here and never have to travel outside of Macon. What is the most gratifying part of your job? Watching a patient who was in so much pain prior to surgery return to walking, hiking, tennis, golf and all the other activities they enjoy. I love seeing the positive impact a joint replacement can have, not only on their physical health, but also on their mental health. What sets your business apart? I am the first fellowship trained total joint surgeon in the Central Georgia region. I trained at Emory University and have extensive training in the direct anterior hip approach, robotic surgery, complex revision surgery and outpatient total joint replacements. I am able to provide the newest procedures and to work with each patient to create an individual plan of care. Advice for those seeking to get started in your field: Find a mentor, set a goal and never give up. What are you most excited about right now in our community? Macon has changed so much since I left after medical school in 2013. There is definitely an energy that is contagious right now. The community is continuing the already rich history with new entertainment, restaurants and businesses. I want to help bring something new to the area, too. I'm eager to offer the care needed right here in Macon to prevent people from having to travel to Atlanta. Macon is an exciting place to live right now and I'm thrilled to be a part of it.
