Our mission is to improve people's lives, and that is what we do every day by helping people live in their homes for as long as possible. No matter a person's age or condition, we can put a plan together to keep them where they want to be for as long as possible. What is the most gratifying part of your job? Knowing that we help people and seeing how our efforts help families remain families. With our help, family members don't have to become caregivers, which allows them to spend more quality time with their loved ones. What is the best business advice you've ever received? A fellow small business owner and a friend Andy Mealor told me, "things are never as bad as they seem and things are never as good as they seem." As a small business owner, we get excited when things are going well and down when things aren't. Many times, our emotions flow with our business' performance. Andy's advice helps me take a step back and evaluate the big picture. What is the most common question you receive? The most common question we get is about who pays for our services. To answer, payment options include Private Pay, Medicaid, Veterans Affairs, Medicare Advantage plans and long-term-care insurance. The truth is, the answer is not simple and is different for each person. We pride ourselves in helping clients examine every avenue in deciding which payment options they are eligible for. What makes you a strong leader? If I had to put my finger on a characteristic that defines me as a leader, I would have to say that I am fair. I always try to find solutions that benefit all involved. Chris Sims Interim Home Care Photo by Jessica Whitley
