VISIONARY LEADERS
Leadership Macon provides leadership training and community orientation to individuals seeking to
become more community involved in the growth and development of Macon-Bibb County. Leadership
Macon is a year-long program that introduces a class of upcoming community leaders to the strengths
and challenges in Macon-Bibb County.
T
he class explores possible projects and solutions, interacts with political and community leaders, and
develops lasting relationships that continue to benefit each member and the local community for years
to come. Class members attend a two-day retreat, followed by monthly seminars on
critical local topics like Poverty, Housing, Health Care, Education,
Economic Development, Tourism, Regional Issues,
and Local Government.
