Also new to the Fabian series is clarinetist Bixby Kennedy. A NYC-based performer, he holds positions in the New Haven and Albany symphony orchestras, is a member of the chamber ensemble Frisson and performs regularly at the Marlboro Music Festival. Whether you are a fan of fiddle tunes, jazz, hymns or spirituals, this concert has a little something for everyone. The program includes John William's Air and Simple Gifts, Charles Washington's Midnight Child, George Gershwin's Three Preludes, as well as Aaron Copland's incredibly beautiful, charming, lyrical and memorable Appalachian Spring. German Greatness Beethoven Sonatas for Piano and Violin: III 250th Anniversary Year of Beethoven's Birth Amy Schwartz Moretti, violin; Andrew Armstrong, piano Tuesday, March 17 Closing out the season, the duo of violinist and Center Director, Amy Schwartz Moretti and pianist, Andrew Armstrong reunite to perform the sixth, seventh and tenth Violin Sonatas of Beethoven. This, the final concert of their three-year project to perform all 10 violin sonatas celebrating the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth in 2020, will surely be an incredible musical experience to end this season of musical travels.
