Because patients are often scared and cancer doesn't wait, Central Georgia Cancer Care has staffed a certified oncology nurse to coach newly diagnosed patients about the journey ahead, even before they are seen by a doctor. It's a young project, but from what I've seen so far it is really helping patients as they anxiously approach their physician visit. WHAT ARE YOU MOST EXCITED ABOUT MOVING INTO 2019? As a lifelong Macon resident, many of our patients are folks I have known my whole life, and it makes me proud that people I care about trust our practice. I work every day to earn that trust again and again. WHEN YOU'RE NOT WORKING, WHAT DO YOU ENJOY DOING? My family is very important to me. I enjoy spending time with them, also supporting the Georgia Bulldogs, playing golf, following sports and listening to music.
