experiencing quite the renaissance.
Maconites, live well this year by exploring your own
backyard. NewTown Macon challenges you to make 2018 the
year you truly experience this charming, historic place you
call home. This is the year to nix procrastination and start
being intentional. You can be a part of downtown's success
by simply enjoying it. Your engagement with downtown's
amenities will fuel the continued eorts of revitalization.
Today is the day to #PledgeDTMacon. Whether you pledge
to attend all 2018 First Fridays or shop downtown for
birthdays this year, you are a part of downtown Macon's
progress.

Work to begin in 2018 at Alexander IV
The vacant Alexander IV Elementary School will soon
be a world-class senior living center. Alex IV was included
in Historic Macon's Fading Five in August 2015. Since then,
Historic Macon's preservation committee and sta have
worked with community stakeholders and the Macon-Bibb
County Board of Education to find a preservation solution
