Macon Pops
A NEW SEASON OF MACON POPS is a movable feast
of fine, live performances. Co-founders Steve Moretti and
Matt Catingub apply their unique trademark music to songs
we all know and love. And each concert features a different
venue.
Macon Pops' fifth season begins Aug. 26 on the Wellness
Center Lawn at Middle Georgia State University. Bring
your lawn chairs and picnic baskets for an evening of "Jazz
That Rocks! Music of Chicago, Blood Sweat & Tears, Steely
Dan." The concert starts at 8 p.m.
The next concert is Friday, Nov. 17, at the Cox Capitol
Theatre. "The Beatles: Rubber Soul & Revolver" is a
continuation of the Pops' top-to-bottom series. Songs from
the two iconic albums will be performed in exact track
order, fully orchestrated and performed for your listening
enjoyment.
The third and final show of the season, "Latin Pop
Revolution," features music from Tito Puente and Sergio
Mendes to JLo and Christina Aguilera. It starts at 7:30 p.m.
at Mercer University's Hawkins Arena and promises to be a
night made for dancing.
You can purchase tickets for the season by calling (478)
301-5470 or go to maconpops.com.
