Lynn Murphey has joined the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation as program director for Macon. Lynn has long served as a distinguished leader for Macon and the region. For more than 20 years, she has been a senior leader for Cox Communications, most recently as vice president and market leader. Before Cox, she served in leadership roles for the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce, and she has devoted significant time and effort over the years to a range of vital Macon organizations and institutions. Lynn has also been a trusted partner to the Knight Foundation, having served on Knight's Macon Community Advisory Committee. We know Lynn loves Macon and will always put our community's best interests first. We're also proud to note that Lynn graced the cover of Macon Magazine in 2001 as one of the original Five Under 40. She has more than lived up to that selection and now takes another step toward helping Macon become an even greater place to live, work and play.
