Speaking of "Dancing Through The
Decades," on Friday, Oct. 28, Macon
Pops will feature their third incarnation
of that popular show series for the first
time at Mercer University's Hawkins
Arena.
According to C. David Keith, dean
of Mercer's Townsend School of Music,
"Mercer University is thrilled to be
hosting the fourth season of the
Macon Pops at Hawkins Arena. In a
short period of time, the Macon Pops
performances have become community
favorites, drawing music lovers from
throughout Middle Georgia.
"We look forward to collaborating
with Steve Moretti, Matt Catingub
and the other Macon Pops musicians
to provide top-notch entertainment
for our community and welcoming
the community to our campus for a
musically exhilarating experience."
There will be some changes to the
schedule. The annual fundraiser will
be moved from the spring to Friday,
Feb. 24. However, there is still time
and tickets are available for the 2016
fundraiser. On Friday, April 22, at the
Cox Capitol Theatre, Macon Pops will
present "Vintage Vegas," complete with
dinner catered by Dovetail. "This will be
our second fundraising concert," said
