APRIL/MAY 2016 101 SPECIAL ADVERTISING SECTION Signature Salon Educato Signature Salon 1520 Bass Road | 478.474.4856 SignatureSalonMacon.com Signature Salon is proud to have Educating Stylists on Staff to help in the training of talented, up and coming stylists. Aubrey Corbitt, Elizabeth Lowe, and Christine Rosales are our featured Educators. They have been in the beauty industry for a combined 18 years and are all Redken Specialists. What is different about Signature Salon? Elizabeth: Signature Salon is definitely one of a kind. We are not just a beauty shop: we are a salon company! We employ licensed cosmetologists and give them their 'Master's Degree' in Signature through our Associate Program. Each Associate is paired up with an Educator to learn extensive skills that expand on what they learned at school. The education we have at Signature is amazing and so important for not only new stylists, but for stylists at any point in their career. *** Pictured left to right: Christine Rosales, Elizabeth Lowe and Aubrey Corbitt. Why does Signature have an Education System to invest time into young and upcoming stylists? Aubrey: We invest time into other stylists because that's how we learned. If it wasn't for the amazing stylists who took time out of their busy lives and poured their knowledge into me about this industry and how to be a better stylist, I wouldn't be where I am today. Education, supportive systems, and a helpful team are all things that Signature provides for their employees. It is awesome that stylists can have the knowledge and confidence to go into work every day knowing they can help make someone feel beautiful, while also having an accomplished career that can provide for their families? What are you hoping to change about the beauty industry? Christine: I would love it if more people could look at the beauty industry as a career, where the possibilities are endless. There is a stigma that being a hair stylist will not be as fulfilling or secure as other career paths, but with the right systems like the ones we have at Signature and the right people supporting your growth in your field, it can be! You can be creative, love what you do, and make a great living doing so. Women In Business
