28 | MACON MAGAZINE APRIL/MAY 2015 ADVERTISING | Women IN BUSINESS When did SERVPRO®of Macon begin working in our community? My wife, Martha, and I bought our franchise 34 years ago, in 1981. It is one of 1,700 SERVPRO® franchises across the United States and Canada. SERVPRO® began as a painting business with a background in cleaning and restoration, and has developed into a leader in fire, water, and mold restoration and mitigation. How are women involved in and important to SERVPRO® of Macon? How many of your employees are female? Currently, half of our 16-member staff are female, and they each play an integral role to ensure the SERVPRO® motto, "Like it never even happened", is carried out. My daughter, Deana Boone, serves as the office manager and has been with us for 18 years. Glenda Edwards, along with Angela Ikner and Lela Goodrich, make up our Fire Crew Technician team. Glenda is the veteran of that group with eight years of experience. Candace Johnson, entering of Macon 1965 Adkins Place | Macon, GA 31217 servpromaconeast.com | 478.474.6700
