Best Year Ever Jason Delves, Chairman When I became the 2014 Chairman of the Greater Macon Chamber, I promised that I would work to push us to one of our best years ever. I also challenged our members to do the same thing. So how have we done so far? We have worked with our local government as they have emerged a consolidated entity. We must continue to support their efforts to run our city and county like a business. We are now an integral part of the implementation of the comprehensive plan called One Macon. is is the first plan ever that gives us a blueprint to make our entire community better through goals for schools, jobs and place. We have also worked closely with our public school system through the Business Education Support Team (BEST) programs so the school system can produce graduates that are ready for a career or college. e Chamber has continued to increase the value of your membership through new and improved offerings. e proof of this success is seen from membership retention and new member development that is better than it has been in years. Remember though, these services are only as good as the participation and feedback that we get from you. We as members must stay involved, go to events, provide feedback and talk to non members about the value of being a member of our Chamber. ank you for your membership and for your involvement. GOYA.
