How did you decide to pursue medicine as a career?
My mother was a commissioner for social welfare. I
volunteered frequently in orphanages as a child/teenager.
I always wanted to help people. Also, when I was young,
seeing people die from preventable diseases/medical issues
in Nigeria fostered my love of medicine.
How long have you been in practice and what do you
consider your specialties?
I have practiced cardiology for four years. Previously, for
one year I was an electrophysiologist. I am Board certiļ¬ed
in cardiovascular diseases, electrophysiology, and internal
medicine.
What is the most challenging or the more stressful
part of your practice?
The most challenging part is giving my best to patients,
sometimes with limited time.
What do enjoy the most?
I especially like the Interaction with my patients.
How do you relax or what to you do to relax on the
weekends when you're not on call?
I play with my 6-month-old and my 2-year-old. I also enjoy
watching movies with my husband.
