Georgia Power is committed to providing
reliable power for the communities it serves.
Whether it's by updating our electric grid
to make it smarter and more resilient,
constantly working on innovative ways
to generate and store energy, or restoring
power quickly and safely a er an outage, we
are committed to keeping our communities
powered 24/7.
What experiences led you to choosing this
professional path? (Why do you do what
you do?)
I was inspired to come to Georgia Power
because of their motto: "A citizen wherever
we serve." I have long seen the positive
impacts that Georgia Power makes in
the communities in our region, and I feel
incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to
be a part of a company that goes far beyond
just providing electricity.
What is the best advice you have ever
received, business or otherwise?
When I went away to college at UGA, my
dad would always tell me "Every class, every
day." In other words: you've got to show up.
Taken beyond the college context, it's great
life advice – If you'll just show up and be
prepared to listen and learn, you've won half
the battle already.
I hope more women will:
Develop relationships with female mentors.
The women in my life who have helped me
along the way have been instrumental in
making me who I am.
