22 maconmagazine.com | December 2025/January 2026 Faces FROM TOP In October, a delegation from Macon-Bibb County traveled to Japan, including Bibb County School District students who visited Kurobe and Tokyo. The adult delegation visited Kurobe and attended the annual Southeast U.S./Japan (SEUS/Japan) Conference in Tokyo, bringing together leaders from across the Southeast and Japan to build partnerships that drive both economic and cultural exchange. The newest branch of Middle Georgia Regional Libraries, the Cathy Ivey Community Library, opened on Forsyth Road in October. People & Pets Project has spayed 401 cats and dogs in the last year. Dedicated to implementing impactful interventions, the last spay-and-neuter clinic of 2025 is December 19 at Macon Area Habitat for Humanity.
