FROM TOP Macon Magazine staff and friends celebrated 50 years of Goodwill of Middle
Georgia at the annual gala held at Anderson Conference Center. The 20th Annual Building
the Beloved Community Symposium was held at Mercer University in October. The
Brown–Swearingen family, including Mary Beth Swearingen and Stanford Brown, donated
$6 million to the Wesleyan College SHE WILL campaign, in honor of the late Harold Searcy
"Buddy" Brown, to support Wesleyan's expanding business program for women.
