Spring Style
My spring style story is Ralph Lauren
cottagecore. It has the sophistication of
classic American fashion, refreshed with
cozy, feminine details – muted shabby-chic
floral prints, playful ruffles, vintage lace, and
a soft palette of neutrals and pastels.
Picture a structured trouser jean with a ruffled
peplum top and Mary Jane flats, or a crisply starched
white button-down shirt (yes, collar popped) tucked
into a flowy floral midi skirt, cinched with a bleached
raffia belt.
For local inspiration, I styled looks from The Vintage
Thread and Mossy Creek Natural downtown. Shoutout
to Sorella in North Macon for their Sarah Stewart "The
Katie" handbag – a wicker darling I've got my eye on.
To set the mood, I cue up Macon-born emo singer
Ash Tuesday while running errands. With her as my
soundtrack, I'm not just picking up dry cleaning at K's –
I'm Meg Ryan in a '90s rom-com.
