W O M E N ABOUT B U S I N E S S April/May 2025 | maconmagazine.com 81 P r i n c e S e r v i c e & M F G Jennifer Oliver 6600 Hawkinsville Road • Macon, 31216 478.788.5240 | princeservice.com Our mission is to be the preferred employer in Middle Georgia and the trusted manufacturing partner that solves your problems. We offer sheet metal fabrication, precision machining, and industrial services to commercial clients, the Department of Defense, and customers across the world. I started in procurement, but my curiosity led me to explore the business further, ultimately becoming a Planning Manager with a passion for fabrication operations. What is the best advice you have received? Resilience is key. Stay persistent in the face of challenges, and use setbacks as learning experiences to keep moving forward. I would advise women in the workforce to leverage your experience, network, set goals, and know your worth. Don't undersell yourself. Reflect on what you bring to the table, stand firm on your value and don't be afraid to negotiate. You might be surprised that women in manufacturing are breaking barriers, leading teams, and shaping the future of the industry, proving that this field isn't just for men, it's for leaders. I am grateful for the opportunity to work at such a forward-thinking company. It's inspiring to be part of a team that values creativity and embraces change. Who is a woman who has inspired or mentored you? Dr. Maria Montessori has been a major inspiration to me. As a pioneer in education, she broke barriers in a field where women weren't always welcomed just like many women in manufacturing today. Her belief that 'all work is noble; the only ignoble thing is to live without work' is a powerful reminder that every job has value. Her legacy encourages women to challenge norms, take up space in male-dominated industries, and create opportunities for others. I hope more women will aconsider a career in manufacturing where women can thrive break stereotypes, and shape the industry's future with diverse perspectives.
