What is the mission of your work?
Wesleyan's mission is accelerating equality
for women in Middle Georgia and
around the globe. We're doing this in our
Entrepreneurial Lab (eLab) space which is
designed to help students create a business,
market an existing one, and see their
innovative ideas come to life.
What services or products do you off er?
Our eLab provides students and community
members with essential tools and support to
become successful small business owners,
empowering them to turn innovative ideas
into thriving ventures. From 3D printers and
vacuum molds that will allow entrepreneurs
to prototype innovative solutions, to printers
and engravers allowing them to create
marketing products, in this space a young
woman will fi nd everything she needs to
bring her ideas to life.
What is the best advice you have ever
received, business or otherwise?
Success is not solely defi ned by fi nancial
wealth; it encompasses a sense of fulfi lment
in both your professional endeavours and
personal life. In fi ve years, I hope to see
more women stepping confi dently into
leadership roles, advocating for their worth,
and building businesses that drive our
community forward.
Who is a woman who has inspired or
mentored you?
My mother has consistently been my
greatest source of inspiration. A er my
father's passing, she raised fi ve children
and demonstrated remarkable strength
and resilience.
I hope more women will step into
leadership roles, advocate for themselves
unapologetically and support one another
in business.
Whether it is starting a company, pursuing
executive positions, or breaking into male -
dominated industries, women deserve a
seat at every table.
