How did you find out about your job?
I was looking for a job, and I was specifically
interested in serving. I remembered eating
at the Rookery in the past, and I loved
the atmosphere and historical music
background that it was known for. So, I
found the job application online and got a
call from a manager who later hired me.
How has your job gotten you more
involved in the Macon community?
While working downtown, it's impossible to
miss the vibrant activity, especially in the
music scene. Some of my friends who work at the Rookery are in bands that
perform downtown, and I never miss their shows if I can help it. When Sweet
Diesel plays at Grant's, it's a must-see—Dalton Love and Hunter Pettis are
musical geniuses.
Have you made friends while working at the Rookey?
I have made many lifelong friends while working at the Rookery. The friends
Iʼve made are some of the most genuine and down-to-earth people youʼll
ever meet—the type of friends who I would trust with my life.
