Amici Macon 1510 University Dr., Macon Johnathan Ewing and Jon Joiner worked side by side at Amici Milledgeville for nearly a decade before purchasing the restaurant together in 2009. In 2018, they built the Macon location adjacent to Mercer University's Five Star Stadium. Joiner, a drummer and current member of Restless Natives, who played with Moonshine Still in its heyday, books musicians and bands who perform every Saturday night at Amici Macon's popular rooftop bar. "We have so much fun up there, weather permitting!" Joiner says. He focuses on presenting local musicians, including DireWoof, BAS, Dean Brown, and more. Macon City Auditorium 415 First Street, Macon Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this nearly 100-year-old venue seats 2,700 and recently underwent a $10 million renovation, signi cantly upgrading the concert experience. This year alone, the Auditorium has imported Bonnie Raitt, Marcus King, Joe Bonamassa, and We The Kingdom, among others, for shows under the iconic dome. Back Porch Lounge 2400 Riverside Dr., Macon Attached to the old-school Best Western Inn, the Back Porch gives vintage lounge vibes, complete with low ceiling, disco ball and tiny dance oor. Angela Henigman's colorful paintings of musicians line the walls of the stage, which a lively group of local musicians lls every Monday night to back up legendary blues guitarist Robert Lee Coleman. Bearfoot Tavern 468 2nd St., Macon The downtown gastropub and beer garden on Macon's busy Second Street corridor hosts live music most Friday and Saturday nights featuring talented local singer/songwriters including Sean Solo, Ginger Brown, Kaleigh Courson and Lewis Ashe. Billy's Clubhouse 1580 Forest Hill Rd., Macon Billy's Clubhouse presents live music every weekend but proudly never charges a cover. Instead, the 40-year-old neighborhood bar brings in full bands like Matt McMillan & The City Limits, West Ridge Circle, Tres Hombres, 2 Finger Jester, Ruckus Station, and more for the listening pleasure of its patrons. Capitol Theatre 382 Second Street, Macon One of Central Georgia's premier live music venues, the Capitol Theatre hosts a variety of American roots music artists, from Grace Potter, Christone "King sh" Ingram, and Brandy Clark to popular tribute bands, including Rumours ATL, Back N Black and End of the Line. One of the biggest breakout hits of the year is Classic City Wrestling, which combines America's favorite pastime in a ring on the oor with live rock and roll and honky tonk onstage. Capricorn Sound Studios & Museum 530 Martin Luther King, Jr., Blvd., Macon Over the past year, Capricorn's Studio B has emerged as a premier listening room with sold-out shows featuring Parker Millsap, Elizabeth Cook, Tinsley Ellis, Jontavious Willis, and more. The intimate environment, stellar sound, and legacies of all the legendary artists who originally recorded in the building create an unparalleled energy between artist and audience. Cashman's Pub 370 Cherry St., Macon Celebrating its fth anniversary this year, Cashman's has earned a loyal following for its many virtues, including mouth-watering wings, mimosa towers, and a commitment to live weekend music. Marie Ortiz, Logan Lee, Billy Robinson, Josh Courson, and Wrecking Roses are just a few of the acoustic acts on regular rotation. Coleman Hill Park 285 Spring Street, Macon With its well-maintained landscaping and gorgeous, panoramic view of downtown Macon, Coleman Hill couldn't be a more serene setting for Bragg Jam's Second Sunday outdoor concerts, held in the fall and spring. Kids, pets, and picnics pack the park for Adam Hendley and the Testi ers, The Open Seas, Blak9earl, and more. Douglass Theatre 355 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Macon With a musical event lineage that stretches back to its establishment in 1921 and presentation of vaudeville acts of the day, the Douglass Theatre marches on, continuing its legacy of arts, entertainment, and community that landed as a key stop in the Green Book after its founding by Macon's rst Black millionaire, Charles Douglass.
