W O M E N I N B U S I N E S S Our mission is to match Bibb County middle and high school students with positive adult role models. What services or products do you offer? The Mentors Project provides one-on-one as well as group mentors. The program also provides wrap-around services to remove barriers, so that students can stay in school and graduate. What experiences led you to choosing this professional path? I believe every child should have a personal cheerleader in their life. My role model and cheerleader was my grandmother, Ora Belle Jordan. She raised her 12 children during the Great Depression. The best advice I've ever received came from my father, Brady Jordan. "Do what is right and not what is easy." What do you love about Macon? What are you most excited about in our region? I love the beautiful architecture, the vibrancy of downtown, the new amphitheatre, the museums, and the rich music history. I am excited that we are all about the region growing rather than just one city or county. Together, we can do magnificently more. You might be surprised to know that I love to set the table and have more than 30 sets of china and more than 50 tablecloths. I hope more women will step out of their comfort zones, explore their many career opportunities, and not feel guilty about picking up dinner every night.
