Our mission at Poppy's is to make every
customer feel happy when they walk in and
out of our store! We are lucky enough to be
in an industry that can bring happiness and
joy to someone.
We offer in house design services. We have
anything from pillows, lamps, rugs, and art
to antiques, lacquered furniture, new case
goods, and upholstery. We can also lacquer
and refinish any of your personal items.
Why do you do what you do? When my
son was two, I was teaching preschool, and
this started as more of a hobby. It quickly
grew thanks to social media! Now we ship
all over the U.S. and even to the Caribbean.
I love what I do because I get to help other
people's vision come to life in their homes!
In five years I hope to have a few more
locations! We currently have two: one in
Macon and one in St. Simons.
The best advice I have ever received is
stay focused on the goal and stay humble.
None of this is really "mine." I am just using
the gi s God has given me!
My advice for women: Find your passion
and start small. Let it grow and evolve to
what is meant to be organically. No matter
what there will be curve balls and things that
aren't in the plan but use them as a learning
experience instead of a setback.
I am grateful for my husband, family,
employees, customers, and my friends! I
couldn't do any of this without them.
