W O M E N I N B U S I N E S S The mission of our business is to eliminate all barriers to accessing mental healthcare and to aid in making Macon the most mentally healthy city in Georgia. When I became a divorcing mother of eight, I learned the importance of access to mental healthcare. I've been able to take care of my health through our services, and I want others to have access to the same. My advice for women starting a business is to trust your gut. Whatever it is that you have been given the vision to do, do it. Do it unapologetically. Do it afraid. I implore women to engage in sponsorship relationships. Mentorship is great, but mentorship doesn't always lead to additional opportunities, and that's why sponsorship is so important. What do you love about Macon? Everything. I love the way it smells, even when it is not the best. I love the way the water tastes, the way it's easy to find a peaceful place to be. I love how forgiving and funny it is. I love that we use the name Macon in every pun imaginable, and I love the people. And they love me. I hope that more women choose to support each other. There's so much more opportunity in collaboration. I am most grateful for my children. They are the reason why I advocate for others. They are the reason why I advocate for myself. They are my inspiration for my work ethic. It is my sole purpose and goal to make them proud.
