Izza and Jessica met 25 years ago while growing up in Manila, Philippines. In 2002, Izza moved to the U.S. while Jess finished her studies in the Philippines. They lost touch, but Izza received word in 2023 that Jessica and her family were moving to Macon from the La Rioja region of Spain. Jess knew Macon was meant to be their new home after hearing about Macon from Izza for 12 years. Both their families of three are closer than ever, constantly sharing meals together. Macon Mental Health Matters hosted the monthly Men's Mental Health Meetup at Churchills on Cherry in January. See more at maconmentalhealthmatters.com.
