ABOVE Recently reunited friends Izza
Sola and Jessica Filion share a magnificent
apple caramel cheesecake at Oliver's Corner
Bistro during Newtown Macon's Girls Night
Out. Izza and Jessica met 25 years ago while
growing up in Manila, Philippines. In 2002,
Izza moved to the U.S. while Jess finished her
studies in the Philippines. They lost touch,
but Izza received word in 2023 that Jessica
and her family were moving to Macon from
the La Rioja region of Spain. Jess knew
Macon was meant to be their new home
after hearing about Macon from Izza for 12
years. Both their families of three are closer
than ever, constantly sharing meals together.
