SPECIAL ADVERTISING SECTION 104 maconmagazine.com | AUGUST/SEPTEMBER 2022 SCOTT MITCHELL OWNER 502 CHERRY STREET 478-227-7785 | TRAVISJEANEMPORIUM.COM What is the mission of your business? Travis Jean Emporium and The Bohemian Den was created out of a desire to offer an unparalleled retail experience in Macon. What makes you a trusted leader in your work? I place my values on this work and use it as a platform to transform the community around me. Many of our products give a portion of their proceeds to charities that are working to end discrimination, human trafficking, hunger, and homelessness. We believe that change is not just an idea! What sets your business apart? We are a space where artisans and artists can showcase goods from around the globe yet speak to the very essence that is Downtown Macon. Has your business shifted because of COVID? If so, how? Our entire business model changed during the pandemic. We became stronger and grew because of our willingness to shift. We created an online store and brought in products that better fit our customer base. What is the most gratifying part of your job? Creating a safe space for LGBTQIA+ people in Central Georgia, and supporting initiatives that align with my values. Travis Jean Emporium + The Bohemian Den
