Located on the mission's campus at 6601 Zebulon Road, the 3,200-square-foot thri store is opening in a former horse barn. Each of the barn's stalls have been transformed into showrooms, creating a special shopping environment in which to browse the selections of gently used furniture, antiques, art and home décor. "Because the Barn Center Thri Store carries so many one-of-a-kind, designer pieces, the inventory will move fast, creating a new shopping experience each day," said Pat Chastain, president and CEO of the Rescue Mission. "This truly is a very unique shopping experience for Middle Georgia, from the fun, creative environment of the barn to the amazing inventory the public has already blessed us with. But the most exciting thing about both of our thri stores is that they are all about changing lives by way of Jesus Christ. The funds generated translate into countless lives that have been healed, restored and made new. It doesn't get any better than that, and those who donate to the stores and shop there are truly changing lives."
