Tickets are available through Eventbrite and are $35 for general admission, $60 for a Knight Foundation VIP package and free for volunteers. All tickets cover food and seating, and VIP guests will receive advanced seating, Knight Foundation swag and items from local artisans. Seating is limited. "The Knight Foundation funded this talk, and I'm so grateful for Lynn Murphey and for the team of people who made the decision to help support this idea. I couldn't be more appreciative," Cooke said. The event will be tented, and there will be fans. "Everyone will be comfortable — as comfortable as we'll be able to be outside in June — and there'll be wonderful music, and the best of the best of the best of what makes Macon wonderful will be in attendance," Cooke said. Cooke began planning the event a er attending TEDx: Buckhead and hearing the conversations pre- and post-show. "I was turned down three times for my application, but I'm pretty persistent. I was not willing to give up," Cooke said. A er expanding on her idea, the TEDx event was approved a er Cooke's fourth application. "I'm most excited about the outcome," Cooke said. "I think that there are so many opportunities to show people how amazing not just Macon is as a city, but the people who are here."
