WHAT IS THE MISSION OF
LIIPFERT PSYCHIATRY?
Our mission is to provide quality psychi-
atric care to the people of Macon and its
surrounding areas. We treat patients ex-
periencing a variety of different struggles,
including depression, anxiety, life stage
transitions, relationship conflict, ADHD
and other diagnoses. This is done via psy-
chotherapy, medication consultation or a
combination of both.
HOW DO YOU SERVE OUR
COMMUNITY INCLUSIVELY?
We provide a "no judgement zone," where
patients can safely and comfortably
discuss problems, ideas and sources of
distress in their lives. We see individuals
across a diverse spectrum of race, religion,
socio-economic circumstance and sexual
orientation. At Liipfert Psychiatry, every-
one is welcome!
WHAT IS A MYTH YOU WISH PEOPLE
WOULD GET OVER?
Although attitudes about psychiatric care
have progressed, seeking help for mental
illness is often still seen as a weakness.
My hope is that, over time, engaging
in therapy is understood as a means of
self-improvement, just like exercising and
eating healthy. The way this can happen is
by having candid conversations about our
mental health, in a non-judgmental way.
