Our mission at Hayiya Dance Theatre is to educate, entertain and engage the community by providing opportunities for cultural arts enrichment and exposure. WHAT ARE YOU MOST EXCITED ABOUT FOR THE COMING YEAR? I am super excited that we will be offering a new series of workshops and classes for homeschool families. I am also excited that Hayiya Inc. will be attending the International Association of Blacks in Dance Conference in January. We have the distinct pleasure of representing all of Middle Georgia on a global stage! WHAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN TO HELP OUR COMMUNITY LEAD HAPPIER AND HEALTHIER LIVES? Make time. Make time to work. Make time to play. Make time to love. Make time to heal. Make time for others. Make time for yourself. Make time. WHAT IS A MISCONCEPTION YOU WISH PEOPLE WOULD GET OVER? I wish people would get over the myth that Hayiya classes are only for black patrons. Hayiya is for everyone! HOW DO YOU DEFINE LIVING WELL? Living well is more than physical fitness. Living well is finding a place where you learn to love the energy you put into the atmosphere and embrace that which it returns.
