Wind Band Sounds of Middle Georgia Tuesday, Nov. 5 The Mercer University Wind Ensemble will join musical forces with the Rutland High School Symphonic Band in a concert featuring masterworks from the wind band's repertory of lighter fare. The concert is performed at Southwest High School due to renovations currently in process at Rutland High School. Special guest: Rutland High School Symphonic Band; Sara Elliott, conductor. Mad About Chamber Music II Friday, Jan. 31 This second edition of exciting chamber Music, performed by several small ensembles from the Mercer University Wind Ensemble will offer a plethora of literature some audience members may have never heard in previous concert settings. Greyhounds and Bears Tuesday, Feb. 25 The unlikely combination of "mammals" from two schools will present a varied program of music written by composers from around the world. Audience members will enjoy literature originating from several countries. Special guest: Jones County High School Symphonic Band, Robert Groves conductor. Macon-Music Across Middle Georgia Tuesday, April 14 This evening of special music will feature two of Middle Georgia's fine concert bands in a presentation of wind music selected from the realm of classical band literature as well as the latest 21st century works!
