The Mercer University Wind Ensemble will join musical forces with the Howard High School Wind Ensemble in a concert featuring the wind band talents from two of our regions fine instrumental ensembles. Mad About Chamber Music II Friday, February 1 This second edition of exciting chamber Music, performed by several small ensembles from the Mercer University Wind Ensemble will offer a plethora of literature some audience members may have never heard in previous concert settings. Bears Meet the Bears Tuesday, February 26 Special guest: Houston County High School Symphonic Band, Jay Davis, Conductor. Houston County High School Auditorium, 920 GA-96, Warner Robins "Bears" from both schools will present a varied program of music written by American and European composers from around the world. Highlighting the program will be selections by the combined ensembles of Houston County High School and Mercer University. Charged Up on Band Tuesday, April 16 Special guest: Central High School Symphonic Band, Michael Scott, conductor. Central High School "Chargers" Auditorium, 2155 Napier Avenue, Macon. Both bands will be "Charged Up" for this concert of eclectic wind music that is certain to appeal to the musical palette of all music lovers across the Middle Georgia region! Brass Choir Dr. Douglas Hill, conductor Bear Day Brass Friday, April 5 10:00 a.m. The Bears will don their musical brass for a special concert that will feature every section of this family of instruments.
