Georgia Grown Groceries and Gifts DINNER IN THE ORCHARD SECURE YOUR FASCINATORS, it's time for a Kentucky Derby party. On May 5, the Georgia Industrial Children's Home will hold its seventh annual Dinner in the Orchard, a spring benefit event this year with a Kentucky Derby theme. Wear your favorite Derby attire and sip mint juleps while you enjoy a Derby viewing party, then be seated for a unique farm-to-table dining experience in the orchard. Funds raised this year will help build a new on-site school and recreational facility. This new school, which you will see when you enter the orchard, allows the boys of GICH to have dramatically less delay in academics once they arrive on campus. The facility also provides a year-round indoor recreational area where they can play, exercise and enjoy team sports together. GICH has built this facility with the community in mind as well, to be a venue that is available for the larger Macon community to gather for events and activities, much like the community trails that run through the grounds of GICH. For tickets or to learn more, visit twincedars.org or call Jennifer Shawa at 706-350-0642. Dr. Ron Lemon and his wife, Lisa.
