The Margaritas at Mercer Village opened in August
2011 as part of the Lofts project on the Mercer University
campus. It is located in the first of what will eventually be
five lofts buildings spread out around Mercer. The Mercer
location is aliated with the other Margaritas' locations
in Middle Georgia, which have been run by the Rodriguez
family since 1988. Margaritas Mercer Village serves all of
the usual Mexican favorites as well as some items unique
to its location. There are 32 beers on tap with a good mix
of craft, Mexican and old standards such as Bud Light.
The restaurant caters to a university/downtown clientele
and often has Mercer sporting events showing on their
big-screen TV. Now serving brunch on Saturdays and
Sundays. Like Margaritas at Mercer Village on Facebook.

El Camino brings an entirely new, south-of-the-border
flavor to downtown Macon. The atmosphere is a mezcla of
style and comfort with a flair of adventure. The Taqueria
& Cantina is located next door to one of the most popular
music venues in Macon, Cox Capitol Theatre. While the
original idea for El Camino revolved around providing
a restaurant option primarily for patrons at the Cox, it
evolved into something so much more, redefining quick
service and concert food with its distinct menu and classy
