O C T O B E R / N O V E M B E R 2 0 1 7 M A C O N M A G A Z I N E | 27 Pinkest News on Earth PLANNING FOR THE 2018 CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL scheduled for March 16-25 is well underway with the festival's earlier announcement that the organization will once again produce the New Year's Eve Cherry Blossom Ball Drop with the Macon-Bibb government. The International Festivals & Events Association awarded the festival 19 awards for 2017 including four gold and eight silver at the annual awards ceremony held in Tucson, Arizona. And to keep the momentum going, Macon's International Cherry Blossom Festival recently announced the 2017-2018 executive committee and board of directors. Don Bailey is the board chair with Stacy Campbell, CBF President and CEO, Carolyn Crayton, Stacy Ingram, Marvel Burgess, Alex Habersham, Bill Fickling, Adam Cochran, Paul Hart, Elizabeth Cleveland and Steve Farr serving Bailey, on executive committee. Board of directors includes the executive committee along with Steven Fulbright, Mike Dyer, Chris Floor, Julie Yates, Jaime Kaplan, Jacob Fields, Mary Hampton, Theresa Robinson, Antonio Lewis-Ross, Ivan Allen, Jimmy Asbell, Jean Bragg, Jeralyn Middleton-Craig, Karla Redding- Andrews and Patty Gibbs. The Chairman's Club serves along with the board of directors as the legacy leaders who have guided the organization as former festival and board chairs. Also serves with the board: William O.
