for a way to promote the arts
in communities that have been

Downtown Challenge
Alexis Gregg and Tanner Coleman
are ceramic artists that go by the
collaborative name of AnT. They
moved to Macon three years ago
and immediately got involved in
the Macon arts community. "[We]
have seen the power of grants
through the Knight Foundation
and Community Foundation.
We love that everyone in this
community is encouraged to
create positive and innovative
change [through programs like
Downtown Challenge], and many
of those ideas will be supported
and funded." They are currently
working on two projects. Their
Downtown Challenge project,
'Plein Air Art Park' for G. Bernd
Park, is a large-scale installation,
and will open to the public
summer 2017. Another current
project is creating accent pieces
for pillars that are along the
Ocmulgee river walk.
