This year an assembly of talented Macon and Atlanta designers are preparing the historic rooms with inspiration from the Jazz Age of the 1920s to 1940s. "A Dazzling December: A Jazz Age Jubilee," features tours, events, and activities for all. The Christmas Gala Dec. 14, 7-9 p.m. | $30 per person | Reservations required Now in its fifth year, the gala is the only public evening event at Hay House during the season. Once again it features a performance by Theatre Macon and its Christmas Cabaret: this year dressed in Jazz Age costumes and singing Christmas songs of the early 20th century. Director Jim Crisp will offer a special holiday reading in a Roaring Twenties fashion. A lavish reception by Vintage at Macon Marriott and tours of the rooms follow the program. The Holiday Luncheon Dec. 16, noon | $45.00 per person | Reservations required This annual favorite includes a delicious holiday luncheon, prepared this year by Fountain of Juice and served in the spectacular Music Room where pianist Caleb Esmund will play Christmas carols on the Stieff piano. After lunch guests can enjoy a self-guided tour of all the beautiful holiday décor inspired by our theme, "A Jazz Age Jubilee". The Christmas Tea Party Dec. 18, 4-6 p.m. | $25 per young lady (12 and under) and 1 accompanying adult | Reservations required The decorated main rooms of the Palace of the South will be the backdrop for a range of activities for young ladies: holiday readings in the Music Room by some of our city's best storytellers, an elaborate demonstration in the dining room on holiday entertaining, Christmas crafts in the old kitchen and a visit with Santa.
