What's the one thing your business is known for, over your competitors? MCC Internal Medicine is known for our friendly atmosphere, minimal wait times, and the lasting relationships we create with each of our patients. The quality time each patient receives is something we take pride in. From the time a patient checks in until the time they leave, we make sure they know how important they are to us. Our patient centered care is our main focus each and every day. What is the most rewarding aspect of your business? Consider this scenario; a patient walks in with complaints recently addressed at an outlying facility that were quickly disregarded as nothing emergent. After having the pleasure of meeting this patient and learning their health history, I realized there was a much larger issue at hand. As a team, each of my co-workers promptly and efficiently worked together to potentially MCC Internal Medicine Lauren Lambeth, NP 6501 Peake Road Suite 100 (478) 273-2662 www.mccinternalmedicine.org MCCInternalMedicine save this patient's life. Days later when I received a hug and a thank you, I was reminded why I do what I do day in and day out. I live for moments like this. In a single statement, improving others' quality of life is the most rewarding aspect of the business. We are unique in the way we ... are able to connect with a patient and establish a level of comfortability in their relationship with all of us at the office. At MCC Internal Medicine, we like to think of ourselves as a team of people that help take care of not only the patient but their families as well. I love how our team interacts with every patient during their visit- I feel this makes the patient feel more at ease about being at a doctor's office. We also have a very inviting waiting room where patients can relax while waiting for their appointment. We offer complimentary water, coffee, and snacks so patients can relax prior to their office visit. What is the largest driving force in your life?? My two boys, Sam (7) and Cole (5). Every morning when I wake up, I want them to be proud of their mother. I want them to understand what I do every day when I am not with them. It is very important to me they know the importance of goals and striving to achieve them without losing site of what is important in life. One of my biggest challenges was completing graduate school while they were young. I was so afraid I was missing precious time with them, but what school and now my career has taught me is the importance of teaching them the balance between family and work. Their smiling faces and carefree personalities (although very different) let me know I am doing just that. Sam and Cole are what keeps me going and striving to be the best mother and person that I can be. SPECIAL ADVERTISING SECTION Busine Spotlight
