Summer Interns In the Scenic Shop In the Costume Shop Meet our summer interns! We are pleased to be able to incorporate a strong educational component into our Summer Theatre Festival as it is a core concept of the overall goal of this endeavor. The employment of interns, all college students or recent graduates, enables us to realize our ambitious plans for the summer. It is the classic "summer stock" model, offering employment in addition to the educational component. This summer our interns will find themselves in the costume shop, on the stage, on the set builds, designing lighting, props and sets, to name just a few. We could not do it without them! Arrie Milam is a recent graduate of Georgia Southern University, having obtained a degree in Apparel Design, she aspires to go into Costume Design professionally. She spent the Fall Semester interning under Shelley Kuhen at Theatre Macon. Arrie is looking forward to working again with the theatre this summer before beginning graduate studies in Costume Design. Lauren Parris is no stranger to the theatre. She grew up in Theatre Macon's YAC program and loved every minute. She enjoyed performing in several lead and supporting roles, including Cosette in Les Mis, Kate McGowan in Titanic, Rose Smith in Meet Me in St. Louis, Bad Idea Bear #1 in Avenue Q, and Rapunzel in Into the Woods. She began working with Shelley Kuhen in the costume shop as a senior in high school and continued in that position through college. Some of her favorite shows to costume have been Secret Garden, Tom Jones, and The Producers. She has also held the position of Costume Designer at Gordon College in Barnesville, GA. Katie Trotter is a two-time graduate of Mercer University and currently teaches at the Townsend School of Music and Middle Georgia State University.
