APRIL/MAY 2016 109 Heather Shaver Evans, MBA, ACC Change Agent, Executive Coach, and Consultant Georgia Affiliate for Pyramid Resource Group 478.501.7269 HeatherEvansCoach@gmail.com You are launching your own business in April. What has led you to leave a Global Fortune 100 company to go out on your own? This move is more calling than career change. The last 15 years of leading in the healthcare industry, I have witnessed a tremendous amount of change. In my role as Change Agent, I aided leaders in organizational change to raise employee engagement, streamline processes, and deliver on the bottom line. When I saw the impact on the culture when engagement scores shifted from 60% to the 90% engaged, I felt like a "catalyst of awesomeness". People re-awakened and the organization had soul again. I then gained certification as an executive coach through Healthcare Coaching Institute. My mission is to duplicate these types of results throughout other organizations. What do you do as a Change Agent? Change is hard but predictable. I coach leaders and teams to achieve their highest potential. I work with leaders in co-designing strategies that remove obstacles and accelerate team performance. As leaders instill desire in their teams, people commit and embrace the needed change. As a result, the organization saves time, energy, money and improves their business performance. What inspires you most about your work? I am inspired by the leaders and teams I support. Through a process called Team Advantageā„¢ leaders find new, meaningful, and fun ways to work together. The courageous coaching conversations inspire collaboration and connection that liberates teams to accomplish extraordinary goals. Tell us about your involvement in the community. I love Macon and the enthusiasm that is growing around music and the arts while embracing the beauty of our historical architecture. I am an active member of the Macon Octoberfest Board, Intown Macon Neighborhood Association Board and will be joining the board at the Museum of Arts and Sciences. I have previously served on Bragg Jam (Past President), Historic Macon, and the Macon Heritage foundation. I am also an active member of the Mulberry United Methodist Church. *** Women In Business SPECIAL ADVERTISING SECTION
