Holly White, Helen Meadors, Christy Ott of
Creative Yarns and Yuki Sano, a group of
knitters and crocheters, are trying to bring
attention to the city's homeless donation
stations by "yarn bombing" them (similar
to graffiti, except with yarn). The group
hopes to increase the money given to this
Leadership Macon project in downtown.
Will and Carrie Robinson bookend
author and chef extraordinaire,
Hugh Acheson, who was in Macon
for a book signing and cooking
demonstration at Robinson Home.
Tavia Henderson, Rebecca Grist
and Flo Mellard celebrate 25
years of the Mentors' Project at a
special party at Travis Jean.
Allan and Dianne Hattaway,
Juanita Jordan and Kris and
Ben Vaughn took their Macon
Magazine on a summer trip to
Italy. Here they are in front of
the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
Cheryl Sikes Stefanis and Bill
Reynolds enjoy The Mentors'
Project 25-year anniversary party at
Travis Jean in downtown Macon.
In June Macon Magazine accompanied Jackie Poole and
Andy Lawson as they led a group of Stratford faculty,
parents and students,as well as many of their friends, on
their annual trip abroad...this year to Rome, the Amalfi
Coast and Sicily. Here the group enjoys the magnificent
vista of Mt. Etna from their hotel terrace in Taormina, Sicily.
