12 | MACON MAGAZINE AUGUST/SEPTEMBER 2015 Holly White, Helen Meadors, Christy Ott of Creative Yarns and Yuki Sano, a group of knitters and crocheters, are trying to bring attention to the city's homeless donation stations by "yarn bombing" them (similar to graffiti, except with yarn). The group hopes to increase the money given to this Leadership Macon project in downtown. Will and Carrie Robinson bookend author and chef extraordinaire, Hugh Acheson, who was in Macon for a book signing and cooking demonstration at Robinson Home. Tavia Henderson, Rebecca Grist and Flo Mellard celebrate 25 years of the Mentors' Project at a special party at Travis Jean. Allan and Dianne Hattaway, Juanita Jordan and Kris and Ben Vaughn took their Macon Magazine on a summer trip to Italy. Here they are in front of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. In June Macon Magazine accompanied Jackie Poole and Andy Lawson as they led a group of Stratford faculty, parents and students,as well as many of their friends, on their annual trip abroad...this year to Rome, the Amalfi Coast and Sicily.
