meeting, including a monthly drive-
in movie series and a downtown
festival for all college students.
The Environment continues to be
driven by the success of the Friends
of Tattnall Square Park and the
Macon Tree Commission. However,
opportunities still exists to improve
some of the other Corridor green
spaces. Splash pads in Daisy Park
and picnic tables in Lanier Park
are some of the more popular
proposals.
With four task force meetings
already underway, opportunity
exists for three more task forces.
The Basics focuses on making the
Corridor visible through increased
lighting, public presence, and
signage. The Connection looks to
cool the streets and improve the
safety of pedestrians and cyclists.
The Look focuses on development
to fill in gaps and promote activity
similar to what Mercer Village
and the Lofts at Mercer Village
have accomplished on Montpelier
Avenue.
"We have the roadmap, we need
you to continue the journey with
us," Bowman-Cutway said. "I invite
any community member to join a
task force and help us continue to
see success in the Corridor."
