Mr. Chips, Inc. Mr. Chips, Inc., a subsidiary of Pinconning, Michigan-based Bay View Food Products Co., announced that it will establish a sliced dill pickle and cubed relish processing plant in Ocmulgee East Industrial Park. Mr. Chips selected Macon due to its location in the Southeast and the outstanding capabilities of the Macon Water Authority to provide them with water and treat their waste water. e company purchased a 120,000 sq. ft. facility and a 30-acre site in Ocmulgee East Industrial Park. e company will invest $8.5 million and employ 50 people. Bay View Foods has been in the cucumber grading and brining business since 1946 and are one of the largest briners of the pickling cucumbers in the U.S. with over 5% of the business. Aspen Products, Inc. Aspen Products, Inc., a privately held company based in Kansas City, Missouri, announced that they will locate a manufacturing facility in the 200,000 sq. ft. former Wal-Mart Returned Goods Center in the Airport Industrial Park. Aspen will invest over $13 million and hire 200 people. Aspen Products has been a major supplier of white paper plates, design plates, cups, bowls and lunch bags for over 30 years. With plants in Kansas City, Missouri, and Richmond, Virginia, Aspen uses the latest technologies in production, design, graphics and printing. Aspen made the decision for Macon after exploring other properties in Georgia and expansions at their current facilities.
