Exploration into the solar system will form the background for story and character creation. Each student will receive a finished their own animated short in digital format at the end of the workshop. Instructor: Al Waller, BFA, Savannah College of Art and Design and creator of the animated film Ultra Galactic Gung-Ho Gurus. Children's Summer Workshops at the Ocmulgee National Monument June 5, 12, 19 and 26 from 10 am to 2 pm Registration is required. (478) 752-8257 Children can come and spend the day at Ocmulgee National Monument and learn the history and culture of the Native American that once lived here. They will take a one mile hike to see the mounds. They get to participate in hands on activities like how to make Native American pottery, design necklaces, play games, and have story time. Each child must bring a lunch and two beverages for the camp. Ages required 6-12 years of age. Summer Arts Camp 2013 From the breezy beaches of California to the steamy summers of Macon, Summer Arts Camp 2013, a day camp for boys and girls, is here. A week-long summer arts and crafts day camp designed for boys and girls ages 6 to 9 who want to explore and express their individual and unique creativity.
