TRINH VU, owner of The Grand Salon:
My family has always inspired me. They
live in Macon, too. I have lived in Macon
for nearly 30 years, after moving here
from Vietnam.
GLENDA BATTLE: I love Macon. That's what
inspired me. I had an opportunity to live with my
son in Atlanta, but I just love living here. I love
being downtown. I've been down here for almost
10 years. The restaurants and everything are all
close to me, so I just like being here.
MIKE RILEY, general
manager of Dolce Vita: My
family, my niece inspired me in
2012. And, also, just enjoying
becoming a godfather for
my best friend, actually the
owner of Dolce Vita, Cesar
Mammerella.
MARY ROSS, grew up in Perry
but now lives in Macon with her
family: My children inspired me in
2012. I have five children, and they
are my inspiration. I love working at
Acapulco (a Mexican restaurant) too.
I've been working here for about six
years, and it's like my home away
from home.
