Macon Magazine released our annual
Music Issue with a memorable Macon night
at Robins Financial Capitol Theatre featuring
the music of Gregg Allman's "Laid Back"
album lead by performances from Grammy-
nominated keyboardist Peter Levin and
Macon's own JB Strauss. It was the offi cial
afterparty for the world premiere of "Gregg
Allman: The Music of My Soul." It's fi tting that
there were longtime friends visiting from far
away places and new fans alike, catching up
and convening around local and local-inspired
talent. The evening served as a reminder of all
that makes Macon's music scene so special —
our storied past and promising future. Special
thanks to the crew at The Capitol (middle row,
right) for making it all come together like a
well-tuned instrument and to you, our readers
