(see page 70) is a new kid on the block in Downtown Macon, Will Robinson is a veteran hand in the story of the city's revitalization. A self-described "serial entrepreneur" with a sense of style and design, he brought his talents in both to creating this gathering place. Here's Robinson's takes on experiencing the heart of the city. LONGLEAF WILL CELEBRATE THREE YEARS THIS SPRING. IT'S GROWN FROM YOU CURING GIN IN YOUR HOUSE TO A BRICK-AND- MORTAR BAR. WHAT PUSHED YOU TO CREATE A FULL-SERVICE DISTILLERY? In retrospect, probably good old- fashioned ignorance. I really loved the idea of creating a new entity in my community, while also going down a new path in my career and being able to do something that is both creative and extremely challenging as an entrepreneur. If I had honestly known quite how challenging it would be, I'm not sure that I would have gone down this path. Rarely is anything truly worth doing easy.
