ABOVE The Macon-Mercer Symphony
Orchestra Gala took place in February,
raising funds for Macon's beloved orchestra
that blends emerging artists from Mercer
University's Robert McDuffi e Center for
Strings with Atlanta Symphony Orchestra
musicians and outstanding guest artists.
The evening included a special major
benefactor performance by Robert McDuffi e
and Chuck Leavell, a live auction, and
energizing music that featured McDuffi e,
Amy Schwartz Moretti, and McDuffi e Center
Young Artists with emcee Mike Mills at the
helm. Hats off to gala co-chairs Mary Pinson
and Sally Sherman for leading the charge!
