For the past two decades, Macon Arts Alliance has hosted master potters from across the state of Georgia and the Southeast. From bowls, to mugs, to jewelry, visitors can expect a large variety of items, including both functional and sculptural work. Fired Works promotes the rich history of pottery making in Georgia and its connection to the Ocmulgee River Region. The oldest piece of stamped pottery found in North America was discovered at the Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park in 1933. Artisans have made pottery along the banks of the Ocmulgee River for thousands of years and Fired Works celebrates the artists who continue this tradition today. This year's festival will include work by returning favorites, as well as new artists. Thank you to our sponsors.
